Chapter 8
A Representative Sample of Be Stars: A Strömgren Analysis II

Abstract
In Chapter 6 the difficulties in using Strömgren photometry for Be star analysis were highlighted and an attempt was made to separate the constituent parts, (E(b - y)cs, E(b - y)is and (b - y)0). The method produced results which were well correlated, but the results also contained large errors. Chapter 7 devised a new method of separating the observed flux from a Be star which provided highly correlated results with low errors, this chapter will use this technique on the representative sample of Strömgren photometry previously presented and analysed in Chapter 6. It is hoped that this approach will develop smaller errors and hence produce more reliable results.
